The Thought Of You

The Thought Of You

A Poem by Megan

I find myself in another endless slumber

With empty arms and a heavy heart

I've grown too familiar with this path

The thought of you comes in like a sinking ship

Pulling downwards and hitting hard

At the end of the day

All we're left with

Is how things once were

And what will never be again.

The thought of you comes in like a sinking ship
Pulling downwards and hitting hard

A broken romance can feel like this - or losing anyone you care deeply about - but time does heal all wounds and the ship will sail on and the good times we remember are what keeps us afloat....
(speaking from a heart once broken)
Hugs, Julie

like it..reminds me of the times in a relationship when you look back at all the good times wishing they would come back
