She's a Fighter

She's a fighter

 

Not like the fictional ones in movies

 

She's a real champion

 

Not knowing of she'll wake up

 

Yet still keeping a smile

 

And motherly love

 

Her battle is finally done

 

She's still standing

 

Still breathing

 

And still smiling

 

Maybe it's all of that motherly love

 

That kept her alive

 

Because she sure has alot of it

 

Or maybe it's her strength

 

That fueled her bones

 

And streamed through her veins

 

Either way

 

I'm grateful that she's here.

Author's Note

This is dedicated for breast cancer survivors and victims. My mother being one of them, now fully recovered from stage 3 breast cancer! To all of the pink warriors, I salute you. Keep fighting! <3
