Soaring With The Storm

Soaring With The Storm

A Poem by Megan

I waited and waited for a storm to come along

To whisk me away from the madness below

To the madness above

The thunder roared within me

The lightning gave me wings

Each raindrop soaked through my skin

And kissed my bones

I cradled the Earth in my arms

Promising those who live below

A better tomorrow.

I felt myself soaring. There are times when it takes something powerful to shake things loose. Don't forget to float down and embrace yourself.

Lovely choice of words! Simple but straight-forward. :)
