Let's Take A Walk

Let's Take A Walk

A Poem by Megan

Let's take a walk

And listen to the leaves crunch beneath our feet

Our steps are in sync along the sidewalk

I catch myself staring without being discrete

Something tells me you don't mind

Skin cells brushing against each other

Our hands intertwined

Give me your imperfections to uncover

You're my starry avenue

And my light to guide me home

Darling, I'd walk forever with you.

The last line has been quite overused but I like the sing-song quality of it. My favorite line is, "Skin cells brushing against each other." Glad you're into science, Megan. :)
