Empty Pages

A Poem by Megan

An empty sheet of notebook paper
Staring back at me
It acts as a mirror
My words reflect who I am
The empty lines are words not spoken
Whatever eventually comes out
I've dug out underneath my layers of skin
An empty sheet of notebook paper
Asking me what I'll become
Where I'll go
I ask myself the same questions
I return to the empty pages every day
And search for an answer.

I'm actually on the process of a new poem which, coincidentally, quite similar with what you have here.

You have interesting thoughts, Megan... Try to vary your writing styles and employ more poetic strategies for a better and fuller effect. I am not an expert on criticizing literary works but I think this suggestion might help you. ;) Thanks for the RRs! :)
