What Lies Beyond Us

What Lies Beyond Us

A Poem by Megan

Once the sun descends away
We are left with darkness
We are left with black nothingness
What we have when the sun has left
Is what always lies beyond us
Empty space
Trillions of football fields full of emptiness
We are smaller than a grain of sand in this universe
Only one planet in the entire galaxy and beyond can sustain life
Only one little planet is inhabited by humans
Humans with thoughts, dreams, and futures
Nothing else lies beyond us besides emptiness
Why is that?

I love when poems have messages in them and let you think. This was truly beautiful

I've noticed that most of your poems these days had become quite philosophical, Megan. :) I hope one day you'll get your questions answered. Keep us updated. Keep writing! :x
