Jay and Daisy

Jay and Daisy

A Poem by Megan

Mr. Jay Gatsby
He was an admired man
Admired of the things he had
And the person he was not
He had everything he could have ever wanted
Or so they thought
There was one thing missing, Daisy Buchanan

She was his sun
He was her moon
They didn't know it
Because they were like the sun and the moon, always apart

He loved every aspect of her
Her silky blonde hair and her icy blue eyes
The way she treated him
Like a person, not a millionaire
He'd walk across oceans just to find her
They were perfect for each other
They were just about to give into one another
Until Mr. Gatsby never returned
His death was a series of unfortunate events, one after another
They were like the sun and the moon, they'll always be apart

The moon failed to rise
And the sun never shined again.
