Fade To Black

I say farewell to the world I've come to know

As I seep through the cracks 

And descend far below

My body is stricken with chills

I start to reach a strange euphoria

I'm alone

I'm free at last

I'm aimlessly roaming in the air

Everything seems to beautifully fade to black

I don't know where I'm going

But at this moment

It doesn't seem to matter.

By the title...I see where this one is going...but you do keep the reader in with this one and the words just unfold and the ending is relatively one of sorrow...as the title gives to this verse...

Thank you! It wasn't necessarily meant to be sad, I wrote it in a perspective of calmness and not feel8ng anything at all or "fading to black" but I do see how it is sad. Either way reviews of my work are always greatly appreciated :)
