A Night's Slumber

A Night's Slumber

A Poem by Megan

The atmosphere swallows me in
Memories of the past pass me by with grace
No one surrounds me
Except the face in the yellow tinted moon
Guiding me through the night
I look up at the stars
Reaching out a hand
To whoever may be looking back at me
Memories I've left behind
Come back around
And beautifully evaporate back into the air
Letting me know
That I've got plenty more to come
I'm starting to fall into a deep slumber
With stars over my head
And angels by my side.

I absolutely love the way that you carefully placed such vivid examples of imagery into this poem. The descriptions in this poem are so clear and precise that it almost makes me wish I was there! Great job and I look forward to reading more of your work in the future! :)
