Lost but not forgotten, Gone but still here.

Lost but not forgotten, Gone but still here.

A Poem by Bliss
"

Written in memory of September 11, 2001.

"

On September 11, a very tragic day, so many lives were taken away. Mother's with children, Co-Workers with fear, all lost but not forgotten, gone but still here.

People digging through the ruble to the very last breath, saying a prayer for each and every death, peole working to the bone without shedding a tear, all lost but not forgotten, gone but still here.

People all around the world gathered and cried, each thanking God that he remained at their side, grabbing and holding their loved ones near in memory of those lost but not forgotten, gone but still here.

This was and still is a great tragedy. Living in Ct. It hit real close to home. I knew of people who survived just because they did not go to work that day, while the rest of their coworker were all killed. Being this close I it also influenced three of my children to join the military.
The poem is so true and speaks much of the tragedy of that day.

Certainly one of the darkest days in history, the only good it did was bring americans close together and though we won't forget that day the closeness seems to have faded away. Really like the tribute to those lost that day.
