RedA Poem by BlindsightedHearts are made of glass, and the colour red just gives me too many mixed signals.Did you know that red is the color of love and passion and heat (and hearts) and energy and luck and attraction? But did you know that it's also the color of danger and error and cold stop-sign metal and pain and anguish and warnings? Did you know that hearts are fragile? They're glass-spun and paper-thin and tragically breakable, did you know that? (Did you know that?)
And even though I'm not very brave and it's only an almost-crush and nothing more... if I gave you my caged-bird thin-paper spun-glass heart and you let me see your red, red, red heart, would you drop mine, and would I see warnings painted on yours? Would it be worth it?
(But you see, my heart's made of glass but it's not nearly transparent, and red gives me too many mixed signals.) © 2011 BlindsightedAuthor's Note
