What Do I Need To Do.

What Do I Need To Do.

A Poem by Blessed_Angel

I do what is asked but yet i get yelled at,
I clean the floors and do my chores,
but yet i still get yelled at.

You try to tell me that i don't do s**t,
and try to tell me you do everything,
but i know it is all lies,

Sometimes i swear you only see it your way,
and you never listen to what i say,
all i hear from you is the dreadful words,
"I am the grownup your the child"

You know what,
I have a ten week old daughter,
and i know i do my chores,
i keep my room clean and pick up after my self,
but yet i am not grown up for you.

What do i need to do to make you see the truth,
and to get you out of oh pity me state,
Do i need to move out?

Do i need to work several jobs,

Do i need to balance my own checks,
and grow up faster than i already am?

So tell me what do i need to do,
to get through to you.

To a mom you are always their baby. You could be 100 and would still be her baby. Great write.

I think your mother is too concerned about you. Most of the mothers do the same thing. Maybe she cares about you too much. This poem is well crafted. I liked it. Nice write. :)

I like the desire of this poem. To know where you stand is important. Standing up for your rights is necessary too. I like the story in this poem. I like the ending to the excellent poem.

Though frustrated and angered you sound, it's also a little desperate. The bond of father and daughter is too strong in some cases, and when one side of the scale has something over the other, it will just not work. If you actually want an answer to your question? I'd say look at the similarities between you and your father and see what you see in him yourself, and then you just might be able to create something completely other than who he is, if you are not satisfied that is.
