Never Gonna Be The Same

Never Gonna Be The Same

A Poem by BlessedLove

Like a dot of ink on a once blank page,

So distinct and vivid was this bond.

As illegal as it was in its entirety,

Emotions seemed to want to go on to forever and beyond.

But negativity surfaced in all shapes and forms,

Shooting this sky-born bliss to the ground.

This bond..yes all its assets have flushed down life's horrid drain,

Such a pity...or is it for the best,

I guess it actually wasn't meant to be,

I guess it really couldn't withstand any tests,

Nope, not for the life of me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I strove for perfection,
Silly lil me,
Thought I was going in the right direction,
It was as perfect as could be.
Now I'm struggling with depression,
But pretending to be overpowered with glee,
Wish I could've made a prediction,
But this result is not something I would've wanted to see.
It's like we're so distant,
Acquaintances now,
Our bond is now like an infant,
Helpless; empty..and I'm wondering how.
If I knew this would've happened,
I wouldn't have tied myself so,
If I could've forseen an abrupt end,
I wouldn't have kept a constant "go".
Things just seem so different now...is this the way it should have been?
Is this really what it was supposed to come to,
Was our bond some sort of sin?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Like a drop of ink that fell on a once blank page of white,

The love we seemingly shared made itself permanent in my heart.

But this shared love surely came to an end; it was cut off in its height,

And even if I wanted to get rid of it..it will never depart.

I guess it's because this love truly grew on me,

The ideal type of love,

Everyone could see,

We were like a match that was oh so unique; ordained from Heaven above.

But not everything works out the way you want it to,

And I've learnt that the hard way

I just don't know what to do

If only I could let it go and stop reminding myself of this immense pain.

It's like since new things have transpired, everything has just become a blur

Nothing's ever gonna be the same..and thats what hurts...

Sad but true.........We want what we cant have, Cant have what we need and what we had is somehow lost. I have to say this piece is very dear to my heart. The pain engulfed in fear and love makes for a horrible ending when th edust settles. It either lasted too long and you wish it hadnt or it didnt last long enough and you wish it had. Still we learn with every action made and our pain lasts only for a moment in time.

Great poem. It speaks to the individual and that they have been through or will go through.

THanks for the read request.

I really enjoyed this poem, put it in my favorites, bec i totally felt your pain, and completely understand where you are coming from, because I have been through this so many times in past relationships. I am def one of your newsest fans, you writing is completely engaging!! (here are some lines that stood out to me the most):

But negativity surfaced in all shapes and forms,
Shooting this sky-born bliss to the ground.
(GREAT IMAGREY...AND A STRONG LINE I FEEL)

Was our bond some sort of sin?
(YES, SOMETIMES AFTER IT ALL, YOU WONDER; WHY DID I JUST SIN? THIS ALMOST FEELS WRONG)

But not everything works out the way you want it to,
And I've learnt that the hard way
Nothing's ever gonna be the same..and thats what hurts...
(IT HURTS SO MUCH TO KNOW THAT SOMETHING YOU WORKED SO HARD FOR DOESN'T WORK OUT. I KNOW THAT WHEN I LOVE IN A RELATIONSHIP I GIVE MY FULL HEART AND SOUL, AND I'VE BEEN CRUSHED MANY TIMES THAT YOU HAVE TO LEARN THE HARD WAY, OVER AND OVER.)

luckily it's been over 2 years of being single, and just trying to find out who I am and what I want in life, and WHO I WANT. i know WHAT I DON'T WANT. LOL. but it's hard to find out what man you are looking for in a life long soul partner.

Great poem Blessed.

your fan,

Kena

I like the images you chose-- very original! Your rhyme scheme is very subtle. I didn't even catch on until I read through a second time, which shows that it fits naturally into the poem.

Great piece. Love is awesome, and reality sucks! Note that love may never be the same with that person ever again, but that doesn't mean that love won't come a knocking again... and when it does come let it in. Cause we should love like we never been hurt before, that doesnt mean be naive, but have faith that the right love will find ya.

this is an amazing poem, it really tells a story from the heart of true experiences and I love the word usage. i think this is a poem many people could relate to because everyone wants to be in a great relationship but so many times do we get hurt and think it is our fault. keep up the good writing :)

Your mum is right you have to move on. If you live in a past that you can't have or control you yourself will stop breathing life. Your creative approach telling us you can't move on yet is brilliant. When you do move on think about what your mind will unleash on the next blank page? These lines set my mind spinning in motions for a poem;

Thought I was going in the right direction,
It was as perfect as could be.
Now I'm struggling with depression,
But pretending to be overpowered with glee,

There is a lot of room up in heaven. Some of it is here down on earth and once you let go you will find it and the past will be the past. Excellent write Ms. lady,
