A Reason To Try Again

A Reason To Try Again

A Poem by BlessedLove
"

We all give up one way or another..and we need motivation to try again...

"

We all seem to experience some form of heartbreak as our years progress,

It seems as though losing hope is just the right way to go.

It seems as though it just doesn't make sense to go in the same direction you were going before.

Find another route to happiness right?

This hurt is not worth it right?

What sense does it make going after something when the resulting factor is ultimate disappointment; anguish; hurt.

Fact is...it does not make sense.

Well, not to those who have chosen to live in fear; to live in the past.

Many things happen in one's life and each experience helps to build their emotional strength.

But it is through perseverance that one can live up to their true strength.

If you don't test out your strengths...how then will you come to know how strong you really are?

It's like weight-lifting....without trying heavier weights, you'll never know how much weight you can manage.

Take a risk.

We all have to do it if we truly want to progress in any aspect of life.

(8) If at first you don't succed, pick yourself up and try again(8)

We all have points in life when we've been betrayed; fooled; taken for granted; treated like rubbish.

But it's for you to rise above that and prove that you DO NOT have to give in to the horrible treatment of others.

It's for you to rise up and say, "Yes! I am capable of living my life the way I want to because God will bring me through."

You have to choose to be strong in order to somehow accomplish it!

Discouragement will always be there...

So look beyond that...that doesn't need to determine your actions.

You never know what the future holds.

Fear will prevent you from seeing and experincing a well-deserved future..

So why be fearful?

One has a right to be taken over with a vast mixture of emotions when they experience hurt.

That's called being human.

But the next step is up to you.

You've got to choose whether or not you want to allow persons or situations to have power over your future decisions and ultimately your life, based on what you have experienced.

Rise above the hurt and take charge of your strength.

Look to God and He'll see you through.

God Bless.

This is just the kind of motivation that every person needs when feelin blue!
It could be a great speech/poem and if you read it to a vast audience i think you'd get your word across very clearly!

You have some great vocabulary and analogies in there; the weightlifting reference. loved it!
Thanks for the invitation to read this! and also thanks for your kind review on my poem. i'm looking forward to reading more of your work!

Your mind is full of surprises!
You've got to choose whether or not you want to allow persons or situations to have power over your future decisions and ultimately your life, based on what you have experienced.

Your friend is very lucky to have you in their life. This was fantastic. There are lines like;

It's like weight-lifting....without trying heavier weights,
you'll never know how much weight you can manage.
Take a risk.

That is worth the rating of 100 alone.

Discouragement will always be there...
So look beyond that...that doesn't need to determine your actions.
You never know what the future holds.

Wow I love the honest words of wisdom. I like your bold statements
about strength, endurance, and choice, and how yes the world
takes us for a spin but how we react to the rollercoaster ride is up
to us. Do we give in? I wont lie when I say that many want to, encluding me:

'It's like weight-lifting....without trying heavier weights, you'll never know how much weight you
can manage.
Take a risk.'

This stood out to me the most, because when we're children we use to double dog dare,
and feel proud of ourselves for going though with task, daring ourselves to move forward.
Then we grow up and we're afraid to risk it because it will cost us money, or our swagga
we're afraid to get stronger. Great piece I enjoyed it
