Cry Us A Miracle...

Cry Us A Miracle...

A Poem by BlessedLove

Cry me a miracle!

How could this be?

Why take lives?

When there's all the world to see.

Why must we hate; take revenge; inflict pain,

Sooner or later,it just had to reach me...

That silent cry; mute is now removed,

This voice needs to be heard, for it's the voice of millions

This evil needs to go...needs to be shaken away,

Anger grows in the heart...no comfort can fully satisfy...

I liked walking in the rain because no one knew I was crying,

Now, it seems as though I'm crying a river; and my river is one of many leading to this big ocean.

"The land we love"...is this adoration?...Is this what we truly facilitate in our world??

I get on my knees, ready to pray..yet I break down in tears as I'm unable to keep track of those I pray for.

As one cry is answered, another awaits me...

Awaits my internal torment; it's initiation.

What can we do?

What steps do we take to fix this?

The real question is...can WE fix this??

The devil rejoices as another life is taken...

Another life taken leaving loved ones to weep.

Weep without shame...weeping like no other...

Weeping that will continue...almost eternally...

I say eternally since memories will always exist

These memories allow us to reminisce on the past...

But when we are brought back to reality....we realize that not only is the memory in the past..but also the person who helped create it...

What is becoming of this world...

Are we all expected to live in fear?

I'LL TAKE A STAND! God DID NOT die just for us to suffer under the hands of the enemy!

Weeping forever won't solve it...

But these tears...I just have to release...

Though these tears won't end for now..

All I can hope to do is cry us a miracle....

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Just know that he is in a better place, away from all the violence the world has to offer...unfortunately it has to be away from you and everyone else. But fear not, for your friend is always watching over you.

As for the poem, I did lose interest half way through. The title could be a little more alluring. 'Cry Us a Miracle' sounds a lot like a church hymn or some corny religious song. Maybe the poem would look better if it were in the form of a story rather than a poem. Separating the pieces by means of poetry makes the story lose all the flavour and all the pain you are trying to express.

Good job nonetheless.

Don't dwell on death. those who died would not want you to dwell to long.

It is up to you to become strong and continue moving forward.
Remember who they were and what they were

Death of a loved one will always makes us feel depressed. But an unexpected one can be very hazardous to us especially if we know that it is not our loved one's fault. As I told myself several times over, crying is not bad. It could help us lessen the burden and the pain that we feel on our hearts. It could help us go on with our lives. Tears are unspoken words by our hearts.

A miracle is what we always pray everyday. It may not be in the package that we are expecting but eventually, it will arrive. Sometimes, it is subtle that we don't even know that it already changed us and our lives.

We will always miss the people who we loved on this planet and dimension because they're the ones who made us, us.

Nice way to express your sorrow and anger and love. :)

I hurt to hear about your friend life ending in such a violent way. Life is not suppose to be cut short like this. You are one of thousands that lose friends and family members to gun violence. Expressing your hurt and soul in a poem is a great way to let off some steam and inthis case speak to GOD as well. Thank you for sharing this piece and your pain. I can encourage you to give some more poetry when you hurt and I will pray for you and the family.

...I know how it feels to lose a friend in such a violent, warlike manner. He was in iraq, and his unit got ambushed. He told us in his last letter, that he felt indestructable with the love and support we gave him. god called him home anyway..

A fitting tribute.

I'm sorry that your friend's life had to end in this way.
I really like this poem because its very heartfelt, I like many parts but my favorite has to be...
"All I can hope to do is cry us a miracle"

I hope you're feeling better! :)

And so ends a perfect piece. MY condolences once again charms. Losing someone is a horrible tragedy! God has too much in store for you to drown in your 'river of tears' so be strong charms, you'll get through it, "In our weakness, His strength is made Perfect" God bless

RIP-To all those who made an untimely departure!

Life always goes on, we are all living to die, there is no other way out of this world. We cry for the ones who went on before us because of our own selfish needs for them to still be in our lives to share in our living. We cry becuae we miss them and there was still so much unsaid, undone. But as I said life goes on and the one we had to say good by to, touched our lives and made us richer for having been in our lives.
As age grows on us death gets closer to us and we learn to appriciate today and all that it has to offer, and the memories of friends, family that have died or just lost contact always fill our thoughts, and it's funny how as age comes so do memories of forgotten friends do too.

hey I write too it'll be nice if you read a least one piece of my work sometime.
