Someone, Somewhere

Someone, Somewhere

A Poem by Erika Jones

There has to be someone, somewhere

that's willing to take me in and let me

be wrapped in their arms. To be safe

with them and never have to worry

about the outside world tearing my

heart up anymore than it already is as

they hold me tightly in their arms.

There has to be someone, somewhere

that's willing to listen to me and my

cries, drying my tears as they comfort me

and tell me that nothing's going to hurt

me anymore. That I'll be safe

in their strong arms, forever as

they hold me tightly in their arms.

There has to be someone, somewhere

that's willing to let me call them

my own and take me places that I've

never been before. Places that I would

rather not face alone with their smile

guiding me through all the hard times as

they hold me tightly in their arms.

quite the amazing, powerful read sad as well.
but things will always be there to hurt, nothing in life is hurt free.
Well expressed!

This is beautiful. Wonderful poem. I'm sure there's someone out there for everybody. The longing in this poem is plainly seen. The emotion is pure. Great write.
