Alone I stand in this battlefield

Alone I stand in this battlefield

A Poem by BleedMyHeartOut

Alone I stand in this battlefield.

Without a weapon, without a shield.

Except for the hardness of my own flesh,

And the antisocial way in which I dress.

For the heart has been blackened to hide the pain,

Though inside t'will remain.

I built the monster as to not let them kill me.

But little did I know the fee.

For the body was the prize indeed,

Off my soul, it continues to feed.

Because in the end, the creation will destroy all,

Humankind shall fall.

And what a glorious finish it will become,

To a once tragic tale that is now only numb.

Lovely! This is lovely. This monster sounds like it could do goof or bad, depending on how you want to look at this. I like this monster. I think everyone has a monster in them that feeds off of them, some unnoticed, some surely noticed. And the ending I really liked. Good job and keep up the writing!
