Sleep

Sleep

A Poem by BleedMyHeartOut

Sleep, dear loved one, sleep.

For the demons cannot reach you were you dream.

And you will not hear me scream

As my heart bursts into a bloody mess.

I will not let the blood stain your dress.

Sleep, dear loved one, sleep.

For the day's failures will arrive soon.

Fading is the night's graceful moon.

And you will be kept safe, and free.

You will have the chance to see.

Sleep, dear loved one, sleep.

Lovely, very lovely. This is written well. Demons and screams can not take one away from sleep. Sleep does keep us safe from the world and all the failures, mishaps, and plain sadness that is contains. The chance to see seems like a good thing that comes from sleep. Continue with the good writing please.

Beautifully written. The tragedy of it makes it sound wonderful. Well done.
