The Fallen

The Fallen

A Poem by BleedMyHeartOut

You had called me your angel

But now I have Fallen.

Fallen from the arms that embraced me as your angel.

For you dropped me from those arms.

How is it,

That the same arms that held me so beautifully

Could drop me so heartlessly

Into the deepest darkness

Ever to be experienced?

For all I ever wanted was to be the one

The one to hold you when you cried,

The one to make you laugh when you needed it,

The one to make you happy.

But you never wanted to be the one for me.

So perhaps tis best that I've Fallen,

For the world may bring better

And I may actually be someone's angel,

And perhaps The Fallen shall find their place.

I like the way you keep focused on what you want to say. It's hard to do, especially in a heart-felt piece like this. I felt what you're saying to the reader; more importantly, to yourself.

I'd suggest changing "tis" to "its" :-)
