Break this Broken Heart

Break this Broken Heart

A Poem by BleedMyHeartOut

Maybe if I slit my wrists time after time

You will return and again be mine.

But no, this object is not worthy of such things.

But yet you still control with these strings.

The bubbling blood that faithfully is surfaced

Is as friendly to me as you are to being missed.

I try my best to bleed out any blood that loved you.

For now, this will have to do.

And unlike you, this razor is a true friend.

While you left me just before I could see the end.

The end of this illness that you seem so uncaring of.

I guess you decided that I needed a shove

In the direction of illness that always spirals, never stops.

But I must give you props

On your excellent acitng.

I never doubted a thing.

That left those lips that felt mine so many times.

The feeling I cannot explain with these awful rhymes.

Please understand that to me you were always dear.

Even though you left me for the fear

Of this brain and its many caverns

That hold on to my darkest sins.

For in them the shattering truth was whispered from the start;

All you wanted to do was break this broken heart.
