"Quiet?"

"Quiet?"

A Poem by BleedMyHeartOut

There is quiet here for most,

But not I.

In their solitude they boast,

That their peace is not a lie.

For I can still hear the screams,

Of agony and pain,

Joined with the images in my dreams,

Of acts done in vain.

This "quiet",

Only echos the past terrors.

Distractions are the only way to stop it.

I hate reliving such horrors,

Provided by my very own ghost,

That refuses to die.

There is quiet here for most;

But not I.
