A World in You

A poem about love and a sense of contentment.

I found what I was looking for,

The place I was so desperate to see.

Locked away somewhere, worth so much more,

The one place where I wanted to be.

Where the sun and stars finally meet,

To form a sky where both night and day live.

Where the rain is perfect and never misses a beat.

The moment where it's never too much to give.

The shining ocean waves drop,

Leaving soft, wet sand behind as proof.

Like sweet memories that I hope never stop.

The feelings rush forward, making it hard to stay aloof.

And here I sit, holding your hand as I think,

as I watch the sky fade from purple to pink.

I wrote this a while ago and finally had the courage to ask for some feed back. Please be honest but not too harsh. I hardly ever write poetry but criticism is welcome.
