On Christmas eve, I went to a party. But there weren't any music. No lights. Just the boisterous clamor of the crowd. I couldn't take it so I tried to leave. Just before I can do so, someone told me to get something from a room upstairs. Unable to refuse the request, I went up to retrieve the said object.
But then...
What was I supposed to take again?
A tray?
Some cups?
A box of clipboards?
I dunno but at least I was alone. Free to do anything I wanted. I danced and I sung alone while outside the window I can see the faces of strangers.
Not wanting to be seen, I looked for a quieter place.
Then I found a door with an ominous wave-like substance flowing beneath it. However it didn't spread like water. I tried touching it but nothing happened. It felt like glass.
I wondered what was beyond that door but I wasn't foolish enough to open it. Just as I turned around, I feel something sucking me in. I tried to fight it but it was too strong.
When I opened my eyes I was in a different room already.
It was dark.
The air wasn't air but water that didn't feel like water.
I swam to get out and opening one of the two doors before me. The door opened easily.
The room on the other side wasn't the corridor that it was supposed to lead to.
It was a grand room filled with fancy furnitures and red curtains.
There were no lights.
There were no sounds.
I was alone.
Or so I thought.
Dark figures stood near the doors that spread across the corners of the room.
I wanted to go back to the room before because I felt like something will end.
But I also didn't want to enter all the other doors that before me.
And so I screamed.
And woke up.
