A Lone Soldier

A road with no end stretched forth unpaved

Sitting on a rock, the soldier stared

Dreaming of the place beyond the rocky path

A place of blue, filled with love and laughter

But the Soldier simply sat, hugging his blade

Slept cradled by the warmth of the moist ground.
