Prologue

She stood aloft in the air, her cold stare held him in place. He couldn't help but lock his gaze on her.
"Jacob", she whispered into his mind. "It is time".
Time for what? Who is this woman? And how does she know my name? These questions were swirling in his mind, just as the snow flakes around them did. He'd seen her before. Maybe once or twice in his dreams. Her skin was always pale. And she seemed to be in her mid-thirties.
"Jacob", she whispered yet again.
"Who are you?"
"In time you will know. For now all you have to know is, 'Your time has come'", she said, this time with her mouth. Her voice was cold, nothing but a whisper. Surprisingly, it was loud enough for Jake to hear.
"My time for what?", Jake spoke out.
"Your time, Jake", she whispered. Her silvery blond hair floated around her as she began to fade.
"Time for what? Please, tell me!" Jake yelled. It didn't change her mind. It just didn't make sense at all.
"Your time, my dear one", was what she said last before the woman vanished.
