UnfinishedA Poem by Blank_fortunesWritten for another great contest well thought out contest I appreciate the challenge.Love has never changed it has always been a comfortable, cushioned, inanimate object they rest on and laugh. Maybe at us because we were not good enough to rest on it comfortably. We fell in and missed every cozy corner just to find these hard wood floors, Looking back at what we have been through we realized we just fell straight through. We can not continue to be products of their experiences, their happiness, their smiles, and their smooth music, it is what continues to paint the both of us blue. I refuse to lay here and look at your tears lean over the balconies of your eye lids just thinking they could soon fall too. Look at me. We might just be two scraps of cardboard seeming to not fit in anywhere not belonging to any specific class not able to be called any specific shape. The Laughter gets quiet, the music starts to fade, that old sofa is lifted up to be thrown away. We still lay here together seeming to be one though it is obvious we are two. We are the missing pieces to the Puzzle, Promise me you will never forget that waterfalls are blue. © 2015 Blank_fortunes |
