Deep Freeze

Deep Freeze

A Poem by BlankCypher

The blood in my veins slows its descent into my body,
The beat in my hollow chest slows to a crawl
as the crystalline structures
form within my heart.

My body enters shut down as the darkness drifts closer,
closing in on the edges of my vision.
It will encompass me eventually.

At the bottom of this frozen lake I wonder:
Where does everything go from here?
At the end of it all I am lost once more.

My mind in the deep freeze.
