Back to Kansas

Back to Kansas

A Poem by Joshua W. Harris
"

Just a quick poem I wrote while feeling a little lost and quite a bit more disparaged. I know it's short, but I hope you guys like it.

"
Flounder in the dark,
My friend,
Reach out and grope these walls.
In this vast and empty space,
You will discover barren halls.

Slide your hands across,
My friend,
There are still the hanger's nails.
But nothing grips to steel tacks,
And dust has caked the rails.

Have you figured out,
My friend,
That you're where you should have been?
But listen to the silence now,
The glory now unseen.

Listen close, and hear,
My friend,
As the house falls through the sky.
We're headed back to Kansas, dear,
But only God knows why.

Listen, observe and learn on the road to your final destination. It is the pleasure of the moments along the way and heeding the signs within and without. An excellent write, sir...:)......

but as dorothy did, we find our way sooner or later, and it usually isn't to Kansas...but sometimes just to getting back to being ourselves, finding confidence and hopefully love.
