Where We All May Go

Where We All May Go

A Poem by Joshua W. Harris
"

A piece that I wrote whilst idly waiting for a customer at work. Mixed with other emotions and concepts that were roiling around. Hopefully it is enjoyable. It was quickly written and a bit sloppy. xD

"
The voices mingle together as one,
An insurmountable clamor of love and loss.
The people are a single entity as they leave for far off lands,
Or return to their nesting grounds.

Tears mix with smiles.
Everything becomes confused and simultaneously clear.
The noise becomes white--the crest of waves washing over me.

I close my eyes and disappear.
I am nowhere.
I am everywhere.

I have entered the crucible of humanity,
Where we all coincide without the resentment we are so inclined toward.
There is no time to hate.
Only to watch with complete concentration--scanning every face but discarding those we do not recognize.

Waiting for the gates to open wide,
And to be released from our eternal stasis.
To see those we love on the other side,
After all this time, to hold their hands once again.
To walk with them into this new world.
Welcome Home.

I was actually flowing with the poem and landed on the other side and met the ones I had loved. When I had lost them, I was devastated to know that I will never be able to meet them again. But this piece gave me some real hopes.

Thanks for writing this one..I loved it! :)
