The Bluffs
A Poem by Joshua W. Harris
Just something simple I wrote today whilst in the throes of crisis.
It's the closest to the edge,I've ever been.I see the crests of the waves. They swirl far below,And hammer the cliffs. The tunnels are roads they have paved.
As I watch the swells lap, Against the cold stone, I step out just a little bit more. My feet are half in the air, Half on the ground, One more step, my body implores.
Just one last leap, And then you can sleep, Beneath the churning brine. You're already here, No need to fear, The embrace of the trident's tine.

I believe we all have been there.... in the mindset of "what ifs"...
and if you took the leap will there truly be sleep?...getting through the tribulations can be tough but worth the fight...
A thought provoking piece, Joshua...well penned!..~xoxo~

I am glad that you took the time to read and enjoy the piece, Robbie! =]
