Forced to LiveA Poem by Joshua W. Harris
I wish I could make you understand,
The darkness I have seen. I know that people all have felt, And been the places I have been. But it never stops and the sun is down, Never to rise again. I have stopped hearing the sound, Of the tears that fall as rain. Acid washed and worn to bone, I am lost on life's great sea. It's about time to come on home, Time to cease to be. At least that is how I feel, How I wish it could be so. But another day I'm sure to steal, For some reason I can't go. I am locked in life, denied an out, It seems I'm here to stay. Though it hurts much more than death to loathe every passing day. © 2012 Joshua W. HarrisReviews
