Man Down

Man Down

A Poem by A.B.
"

That season of my life when anxiety is terrorizing me, is this poem.

"
Man down.
I surrender.

I can't live like this any longer.
I need you now more than ever.

Why have you forsaken me?
In such a time as the present?

You know what I speak of.
Anxiety is choking me.

Man down.
I surrender.

Save me from this chaos.
I am drowning in sorrow.

Hope is no where to be found here.
My faith is trembling.

My hands are shaking.
Fear has filled my lungs.
It is all I'm breathing.

Stress is sitting on my chest.
Like a boulder on my shoulders.

Man down.
I surrender.

I can't live like this any longer.
I need you now more than ever.

I know you hear me;
my cry, my screams, my prayers.

I have been waiting on your answer.
Wipe away my tears.

I want to feel you near me again.
Your smile, your touch;
you alone can heal me.

I know you still love the way I need you.
My soul craves for you.

This is it.
I can't go on.
I'm begging for you to save me.

I'm screaming,
Man down!
I surrender.

Don't let me drown;
I can't live any longer!
