Mother DearA Poem by Lynn's CornerA poem for my amazing Mom.Dearest Mother, My childhood was magical. Every moment a blessed dream. Yet, each year I grow older, Life is not quite like it seemed. Making it look effortless, How simply you went through it, Radiating love and joy, Never once did you quit. You modeled the behavior, Of all I want to be. As a mother and a wife, You made life seem easy. Now I play your role, And I know this to be true, Life's not all a fairy tale, Where wishes do come true. It can be quite a battlefield, Quite difficult to do. Theres a necessary will to keep, Just to follow through. So I thank you mother dear, For passing on to me The will, drive, and courage, To live life fearlessly. It may be scary, it may be hard, but safely tucked inside Is the gift you've given me, The strength to stand with pride. © 2012 Lynn's Corner |

Especially through the eyes of my children. I love teaching, writing, and spending time with family. Life is like a blank canvas, op.. more..Writing
