Protective Mother

Protective Mother

A Poem by Lynn's Corner
"

A protective mother wards away predators.

Protective Mother

Don't expect me to surrender or question who I am

Don't expect me to soften or lend you a hand

Don't expect me or ever think I'll let down my guard

Don't expect me to be easy for my armor's strong and hard

My eyes are always watching my ears are always on

My instinct is protecting my love is ten times strong

I am a mother who can and will, attack if they are threatened

I am a mother who won't  ever give into you or bend

If my babes are ever in a place where I cannot be

I am not worried or afraid because they'll have their daddy

If my babes should ever feel that something is not right

I'll trust their feelings and intuition and won't let them out of sight

So pass on by, don't wander through

these cubs are not around for you

Stalk somewhere else, be on your way

Our den is closed today and always

About
Life is interesting. I find myself learning something new everyday. Especially through the eyes of my children. I love teaching, writing, and spending time with family. Life is like a blank canvas, op.. more..
