Winter's Discord

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield

Poem I wrote on my iPhone

"
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Because you're so cold inside
Lost amongst this wintery season
Wishing the moon was your bright heart
That faded long ago

Tell me of the days you dreamed bright
And your eyes sparkled with hope
You could see the forest, and it was beautiful
But now you're lost amongst the weeping willow trees

The sunlight is scarce in this season
So is your happiness it seems
Gone are the days you were a gilded star in their eyes
Now you're just a dwarf star barely hanging on

I wish you could see that tomorrow could be a better day
That you could rise and shine on us once again
Oh how I miss you my lost friend
You were the one that gave us that bright love and hope
I pray that we can give it back to you someday
So you can leave this winter for a brighter day

What a special poem, sounds like your little sparrow has lost her way. May she find happiness again soon!
