I didn't quite understand it
This feeling of relaxation
This feeling of contentment
And that everything is alright

I usually wake up on the wrong side of it
I usually want to close my eyes one more time
But today seems different
Today has a brighter sky that those before
And there's no reason, nothing has changed
It's just alright, it's alright

The prayers of a downtrotten man answered
A saving grace from above
Even if this is only day of this feeling
It's more than what was needed to resurrect hope
It's more than what I could have asked for
Thank God for the little miracles
Especially the ones we don't realize

And on this day
Your prayer of thanks is your smile
Your hymnal of praise is your laughter
And your heart beating with joy is pennance
For ever thinking this could never be

Sometimes it's just alright
Sometimes it's just ok
Sometimes the world is on the back burner
Sometimes you can just enjoy the day
Because it's just alright
