Lesbian Lad

Lesbian Lad

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield

See my story "Origin of Lesbian Lad" for details

"

There he goes
Flying high and fast
Off to save the world
Lesbian Lad, Lesbian Lad

And he knows
He'll never win her heart this day
But still he tries to save her world
Such a charming boy, heart of pearl
Lesbian Lad, Lesbian Lad
In vain, in love with the wrong girl

And one must wonder
Does he really understand the gravity
As he flies so high, so carefree
Side by side with someone that does not see
In him all the things he wants her to be
Sweet clouded eyes, looking behind roses colored glass
I shall lament for Lesbian Lad, feel so sad for Lesbian Lad

Will an iron will
Stronger than the toughest steel
He goes on and on
Arm and arm
Hanging on every word of her song
As if he really was something more than her Robin
A dark knight with no desire for this boy wonder
But still he goes on, so seemingly glad
Oh how naive you Lesbian Lad

And when he lays down his mask
Does the light seem more revealing
Can he see there is no more future to see
A love he cannot be
For he is not the girl of her destiny
Does he wonder, does he cry
Will he one day say goodbye
Or will he continue this interesting fad
So bizarre, so lonely and human you Lesbian Lad

So he rolls on
So he goes
Flying far and high
For the girl who will never have him in her eye
Yet he seems to unaware and glad
Behind that pearly white mask
The constant sentry, loving and loyal Lesbian Lad
Flying high and blind for the wrong girl

I wrote a few peoms about the main character of my story Lesbian Lad. This particular one can be taken a few ways. I'd love to see it with another's eyes.
