One Night Review

One Night Review

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

A night written in reverse.

"

The death so sweet and poetic
And all of a sudden they died
The motions of passion where coming more and more
The desire went to the core

The sensation made them go wild
Unbridled passion was the cause
It felt like a compelling affliction
The pull was like an addiction

The language of lust displayed on the dance floor
Moving in a synced and seductive pace
The music drew them to the lights and motion
The time for talk now over

Both wondering what would become of this
You could feel the thoughts like heat
He so confidant and entertaining
She so wonderful and interesting

A wink and call a start of it all
Suddenly someone spied with an amorous eye
In the presence of good company and cheer
A drink to unwind the weekend

Blake Q Hatfield
I wrote this one for a contest where you had to write the beginning at the end and the end at the beginning, but when I realized it was only stories, after I started, I decided to just do this anyway. And while I was figuring out what to write, a thought entered my mind "suddenly she died." From there my mind went to that Kid 'n Play move, Class Act, where to die was used in a quiz show where Play had to give the meaing as used in a Shakesphere play. In that context it meant to have an orgasm. So I decided to try and write a one night stand that would be typical in TV or movies from end to begining that could be read either way. Please let me know what you think.
