All I Got Is Poetry (Happy Birthday)

I wrote this for a friend's birthday sophmore year of college. I really didn't have much money, and I wanted to do soemthing special, so I thought of this.

All I got is my poetry
So I’ll give it all to you
A broken heart, I’ll never stay
Your there for me always every other day
Making sure I’m o.k.
So I can make it through another day

I got no diamond rings- or any fabulous things
To give you on this very special day
Just to let you know, friend-
I still love you anyway

So I thought about it,
Searched all around
And of everything I’ve got
I wanna give you something
Straight from my heart

All I got is my poetry
So here it is, all for you
Just my way to say...
