Sparkle Girl

Sparkle Girl

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

Just about an ideal someone, no one in particular. I was listening to a lot of Letters to Cleo when I was writing this.

"

there's this girl i know
as beautiful as a rose
with long flowing hair
and a gorgeous smile
like the serene warmth of the sun
her eyes are diamonds
more powerful than the stars
a gaze that could sail ships
and could rule the world
or just mine

and i see you all out there starin'
that's the type of girl worth marryin'
you'd never let her go
because her eyes would own your soul

and if she never gave you the chance
to prove you could be true romace
it would crush your heart
but it would be ok, if she gave you a bit part
in her life, the scene she's in
better to be friends than nothin' at all
because you'll be there waiting
Prepared to catch just in case she'd fall

and i see you all out there starin'
that's the type of girl worth marryin'
you'd never let her go
because her eyes would own your soul

and i see you all out there starin'
wonderin' who's she marryin'
and i see myself statin'
hopping i'll be one she takin'
and she see us starin'
and we hope she's carin'
but we have to be careful
because her eyes own our souls

About
I began writing back in '94 and I've been in love with it ever since. Music has a big influence on how I write, and what topics I choose to write about. I like to write a clever piece every now and th.. more..
