Never a Goodbye

Never a Goodbye

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

A poem I wrote for some friends who were graduating during my time at college.

"

So long my friends

I shall miss you

But I’ll always know you’ll be there

In the gentle summers breeze

In the smiling of the shining sun

Things of joy and beauty

Things that are made like you

Roses are money

But you are a flower far beyond price

A beautiful blossom of kindness and friendship

If only your kind could blossom all around the world

The world would be a much nicer place

So long my friends

I shall miss all the time you have been around

The times you brightened the darkest days

The sunshine you have brought to all those around you

I will always keep you in my heart

For friendship is eternal

And so shall be the memory of you

My dearest friends

Do not fear my friends

I shall not shed a tear on this joyous day

For you will never truly go away

As long as the gentle summer breeze blows

And the sun smiles across the world

The memory of you shall never fade

Wow, I'm very touched by your beautiful tribute to friends and to going away from some. There is such beauty in this and your heart relays such purity. I'm sure you are the best kind of friend! It shows in your beautiful words.
