She told me all about dreams
And what possibilities may come
When we slip into the subconscious
And let our awake reservations go
We will see a world beyond this
A place where dreams are truth
Where insight is precognitive
The raindrops taste like sweet marzipan
And the breeze on the sunny days, a comfort
She told me of these irrational things
This world, she said, was a turbulent dream
This world has too many breaks and relapses
And the only cure can be found inside
Beyond our outer selves, close to the heart
There is true reason freed from stoic brutality
I could not grasp this sugar coated notion
I have only been able to see the awake
But she said we all can see the dream
If we try and let go of the traps and controls we bind our minds with
If we jump in without fear and reservation
We can truly see what could be
So it is dreams where we must grow reason
Our light should shine from within
We must not hold on or hold back
The good nature we posses
If we learn to dream again
Life can be something more
