Wishing On Stars

Wishing On Stars

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield

who am i
who the hell are you
oh no, talkin' to myself again
i'm so excited about the things i
can't explain them
i'm so scared about them too

wishing on stars
the metorites and wrong decisions
how many times can a dream fall

looking out for that special someone,
who can make me change,
can't imagine it's me
would it be better to be you

i don't know much about love
except how bad i need it
a simple validation from
someone who really cared
even if just for pretend
but i'd rather have a friend

livin' on prayers
the hope that someone hears
don't wanna shed more tears

so i'm wishing on stars
celstial destinations
far from the misery
of the here and now
but as i look into the sky
full of shooting stars i wonder
how many times can a dream fall

Blake Q Hatfield
I was listeining to Letters to Cleo "Get Back" when I was writing this, so it kinda flows with that song... at least I think so.
