Searchin' for Home

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

One of the songs I wrote from something I titled the "Juliana Dando Project"

"

I always knew you were searching for something
Something in this day
Somewhere maybe where you stay and rest your bones
You never wanted to face this day
But still you struggled endlessly to find a place you could call home
You wanna slip away to where friends and neighbors call you home
You wanna see a day, some day maybe, when they'll call you home
I knew what you wanted me to be
You always said one day we'd make it- make it home
I never truly understood, but I sensed something was wrong
Something just unsettled you
It gave you a wandering in your deeply blued eyes
Like you were searching for a place
A place nonexistent
A place you could... restless heart
Youre gonna slip away to where friends and neighbors call you home
You’re gonna see a day, one day maybe, they'll call you home
One day you left me behind
Then you came a year or two later
Then you told me how you found what you're looking for
A place you could call home
A place that lies within
Then you left again and went home
You have slip away to where friends and neighbors call you home
You have seen a day, this day maybe, they've call you home
You have slipped away to where friends and neighbors call you home
You have seen a day, this day maybe, they've call you home
You home...
You home...
You home...
