The first of 3 poems I wrote about a girl who could change the world

Close your eyes
Take a look at what I can see
The stars shinning in your eyes
A beauty beyond light
Coming from the depths of your soul

 

Can't you see
Your greater than we wanted to be
Flying through time and space
Defeating the closet skeletons and reservations
Leading us all with a song and a smile

 

They all wonder from where you came
With the innocence of a child
And a wisdom light years beyond us all
Things lost to us and found by you

 

You're a ray of light in the darkest night
Showing us the way
I know I'll follow you anywhere you lead
To a better life and time

Yes, I am a huge Velocity Girl fan, thus the title of the poem
