Your World

Your World

A Poem by Blake Q Hatfield
"

Just about how someone who begins the process of leaving a failed relationship, but even seeing the fault, they still hold a nostalgic feel for it.

"

I don't wanna be in your world
I don't wanna be your one
I thought for the longest time
It was possible that you were mine
I felt that it was the end of the line

I don't wanna be in your world
Your sad and pitiful world
The way you treated me
Scars on my memory
I just wanted to love, but you wanted none of that

The sad thing isn't that
Somehow I wanted you back
Or how I keep falling in
But how you have use tricks
Instead of being genuine
It's a tragic play I unfortunately was in

It's a horrible thing to say
I once loved you any way
Even though you treated me cruel
Played me for a fool
Hung me out to dry
And still I wanted you by my side

I no longer need your world
A fabricated world
Full of phonies and lies
And those pretty eyes
I hope I can forgive you one day
But acceptance is still far away
I may no longer need you world
But I still miss it every now and then
