Moon is seen, in the skyA Poem by Blake KairosThis poem is free verse, doesn't have an official title, and is a sort of metaphor.
Moon is seen, in the sky.
Means we're all, gonna die. Sun does set, bleeding red. Something's crawling, in my head. I hear the screams, In distant past. I couldn't save them all, Couldn't save myself. The suffering they had partaken, Makes me feel powerless. They were my only link to sanity Now I don't have that left. I miss you the most. I hold your memories in my arms, All I have to hold on to. Lost in a troubled world. But now I must move on. Must stay alive long as possible. I do it for you. Do you watch from wherever you went to? But we all die eventually. Even memories of us, Disappear into dust. Makes me wonder, Does anything matter at all? But I must have faith, That someone will hear my words. I want to reach out to those, Who don't exist yet. Will they get my words? I feel trapped behind, The walls of my future. They bully me in not progressing. The windows taunt me with a false freedom, Unobtainable till death. But the walls are just my past, I can't get through or over it. Blocking my view to a better tomorrow. Destroying my future, and goals. The windows are a future, I cannot bear. They taunt me with events, That I can't want to happen. So here I go, Into this tornado. Hear my voice, It's all I've left. © 2017 Blake KairosAuthor's Note
