My Date With Destiny

My Date With Destiny

A Poem by BlackPrince
"

With Fate leading my hand

"
Like pro activity and inertia,
these battles between demons and angels
(like politicians' vote propaganda)
pull my lone soul in various angles!
And internally I seek peace eternally
till my eventful day with Destiny!

I see love torn between mother and child,
meant to be the Earth's highest symbol of deep love,
and the rich want the poor to suffer and smile,
and injustice, like strong eagle on weak dove,
passed as laws, sink its claws on humanity
whilst I prepare for my date with Destiny.

In my life I made friends and foes alike;
I made some cry and made others smile and cheer;
still I choose to live by love and truth like Christ
who died and rose for me like a true dear
friend filled with love, faith, joy and hope for me
for my vital date with Destiny!

Injustice in any form and any magnitude must be spoken against.This you have done.
Well-done my friend.

really like the rhyme scheme...and this reads to me as being about one who really cares about humanity and hates what he sees being done to people in the name of America...the refugees torn from one another...parents and children...the supposed freedom never really gained, and the speaker as one who will fight for that freedom....who will do what he thinks is right and that is to help the underdog find a way...
