My Date With Destiny

My Date With Destiny

A Poem by BlackPrince
"

With Fate leading my hand

"
Like pro activity and inertia,
these battles between demons and angels
(like politicians' vote propaganda)
pull my lone soul in various angles!
And internally I seek peace eternally
till my eventful day with Destiny!

I see love torn between mother and child,
meant to be the Earth's highest symbol of deep love,
and the rich want the poor to suffer and smile,
and injustice, like strong eagle on weak dove,
passed as laws, sink its claws on humanity
whilst I prepare for my date with Destiny.

In my life I made friends and foes alike;
I made some cry and made others smile and cheer;
still I choose to live by love and truth like Christ
who died and rose for me like a true dear
friend filled with love, faith, joy and hope for me
for my vital date with Destiny!

Thanks Jada, for your time and review of my work. Yes, I will check up your work as you asked.
The riches of this world will have no value in the next. The coin of this land could never buy true love. Our date with destiny will manifest itself dependent upon the anchor in our soul. We need be careful of who we choose to be and become. Very well written!

Thank you, Linda, for your time and honest review.
What a virtuous destiny! An insightful poem that reveals strength, truth and humility. Another impressive poem, sir.

Yup!!! I love this one! Well done! I started to copy and paste my favorite parts but it ended up being the entire piece...so...I am going to do it anyway!
This speaks so deeply on levels some just don't want to face and others completely deny. It makes me sad. This piece gives both visual and heartfelt connections to the reality we live in...THIS:
I see love torn between mother and child,
meant to be the Earth's highest symbol of deep love,
and the rich want the poor to suffer and smile,
and injustice, like strong eagle on weak dove,
passed as laws, sink its claws on humanity
whilst I prepare for my date with Destiny.
WOW!!

STILL I choose to live by love and truth like Christ
who died and rose for me like a true dear
friend filled with love, faith, joy and hope for me
for my vital date with Destiny!
Notice I capitalized the word still...It really stood out here to me.
Nice write! Thanks for sharing!

Injustice jarrs like a chord off key to anyone who has an ounce of compassion for their fellow travellers on this planet. The compassionate in our midst have their work cut out at the moment that is for sure. Nicely composed poem which has a strong message.

I like the flow of this, it reads smooth. The message is strong, the awareness of injustices, and the desire to change things. And even foes are worthy of love and forgiveness. Where would we be otherwise.

I like your second stanza so much that It traveled deep into my mind.
It really tell about the injustice going on around us.
I actually wrote a poem of this type titled "Injustice" but not yet published on this website.
I think if we keep talking about this injustice, those concerned would be compelled to change their style. And I think the cry of the people oppressed could go along way too.
I'm really impressed.
