Mother, MotherA Poem by Ethale Captor'Tis self explanatory.Mother... Mother... Why can’t you see? Why can’t you notice the scars that plague me? Mother... Mother... Why can’t you hear? Why can’t you listen to my screams so clear? Mother... Mother... Why can’t you feel? Why can’t you touch my body with no heal? Mother... Mother... Why can’t you smell? Why can’t you take a whiff of deceit bloomed from hell? Mother... Mother... Why can’t you taste? Why can’t you savor time instead of make haste? Mother... Mother... Tell my why... Why was I the one you condemned to die...? Mother... Mother... Define the word trust... Did you know it doesn’t mean let love tun to rust? Mother... Mother... Open you eyes... See what you started, what around me still lies... Mother... Mother... Open your ears... Let the unheard screams your ears sear... Mother... Mother... Feel my hand... Rotted by lies in a desolated land... Mother... Mother.. Smell the air... Sniff the dying roses before they lose care... Mother... Mother... Stick out your tongue... Taste death in the air that around us is hung... Mother... Mother... Open your eyes... See this place where I was cast for my demise... Mother... Mother... Do you now see...? Do you see what you have done to me...? Mother... Mother... Tell me why... Why can’t you hear all of the silenced cries? Mother... Mother... Tell me why... Why can’t you see that around me misfortune lies? Mother... Mother... Do you have eyes? If you can see all of this, Mother, tell me why... © 2013 Ethale CaptorAuthor's Note
